NEC Interchannel will release a new rival player series featuring 5 of the Higa players on 19 Aug at the price of 1190 yen each. Details as follows:

The first press of these CDs will include a postcard to take part in a lucky draw where 500 fans will be picked to receive original coloured papers. I suppose the amount will be equally divided among the 5 groups of applicants. Apparently, there are different colours in the range thus the postcard you get in the CD will mean what type of coloured paper you will receive. However, there are no details as to how many versions there will be and what designs or content these coloured papers will contain.

I'm surprised that even Tanishi and Chinen will have a single. Thought it would be only Kite, Kai & Hirakoba.
I wasn't expecting a Higa series in the first place though because I thought Shitenbouji seemed to be more high-profile than Higa in the first place. Besides, it's hard to deny the fact that there are more good-looking guys in Shitenbouji. ^__^ Anyway, the issue is not so much about who's good-looking but rather individual popularity counts a lot when releasing such CDs. To think that they are going solo, what a daring attempt! Going by the state of things, it looks very likely that Shitenbouji will get their rival player series too even though they have yet to play against Seigaku since they are still playing Fudoumine in the quarterfinals.
